Envato’s global community of digital creatives has reached a new milestone this month, as the company passed 10 million registered users in more than 200 countries.

It’s been a big year for one of Australia’s most successful tech companies; Envato passed the $600 million (USD) payout figure to its author community, with nearly 1500 sellers earning 100% or more of a livable wage in their home country courtesy of their sales on Envato.

And new data also shows that 277 authors passed the Elite threshold since January 1, meaning they’ve earned more than $75,000 selling on Envato Market.

CEO and co-founder Collis Ta’eed said the emphasis on community at Envato didn’t come about by accident.

“My original desire for Envato was to create something that was different from everything else, something that put the community at the heart of everything we did as a company. This wasn’t just about giving our content creators an equitable payout for their work – which we have done! – it was about bringing all of our creative community together.”

“We’ve enshrined this view in our values; when the community succeeds, we all succeed. The community is our backbone, and we we will always try to make decisions with their best interests in mind.”

“This is what makes this milestone so special; that our community has grown to such a significant milestone and that, along the way, that community has had such an incredibly positive impact on the world around us,” he concluded.
