Envato marks seven straight years in the Best Places To Work rankings
Envato has reaffirmed its status as one of the best places to work in Australia, after placing 14th in the 2020 Best Places to Work in Australia rankings.
It is another top-15 result for the company and marks the seventh consecutive year Envato has been recognised on the rankings in the 100-999 employees category.
The annual study is conducted based on one of the world’s most comprehensive assessments of workplace culture by Great Place to Work Australia. The ranking of Australia’s Best Places to Work 2020 is based on data collected prior to and during the novel coronavirus outbreak.
More than 39,000 Australian-based employees from 124 companies participated in the benchmarking study this year. Envato is home to more than 600 workers around the world, with offices based in Melbourne, Guadalajara and Los Angeles. With more than two million customers every year, Envato remains one of the web’s premier destinations for digital creatives, developers and designers.
“We’re thrilled that our workplace culture has been recognised in this thorough, annual benchmarking study,” says Chief People Officer Michelle Ridsdale “As our company has grown and evolved over the last 12 months, it has been really important for us to ensure that our positive workplace culture has likewise evolved and improved.”
“Our ranking speaks to the drive, determination and positivity of the amazing people who make up our staff community around the world.”
Envato staff celebrate the 2020 results
Michelle Ridsdale notes that Envato has been proactive in responding to the fresh challenges the global coronavirus pandemic has made, especially with regards to remote work. “As a company that has had workplace flexibility in place since day one, we understand that working from home can be both a blessing and a curse, especially in our current working climate, where care responsibilities and isolation from family, friends and work colleagues put extra strain on our wellbeing and in turn, our productivity,” she notes.
“Our values emphasise a people-first approach, so it has been especially important for us to expand support for our people as they faced a new set of challenges. We moved quickly to provide expanded leave provisions, remote working resources and mental health support, while also trying to ensure there were ample opportunities for an informal connection with peers and friends across the business.”
“The response has been very positive, and news like today’s ranking can only help in bringing us closer together in what is a unique time in our working lives!”
It’s an approach that rang true with the team behind the Great Place To Work Australia study. “The organisations in the study are leading the way amid the pandemic, demonstrating care for their employees, customers and communities during this challenging time,” said Zrinka Lovrencic, MD Great Place to Work Australia. “The COVID-19 pandemic is a challenge facing organisations across the globe, and it puts a premium on being a high trust people-first culture. ”
“We celebrate the companies that earned places on our 2020 Best Places to Work benchmarking study, and we hope this will inspire more companies to continue maintaining and building trust with their team members.”
