It’s unique because freelancers don’t need to work on things for free, there is no bidding or entering competitions. Envato Studio clients choose who they want to work with, from a pre-qualified set of amazing Talent all over the world. Services range from Graphic Design and Web Development and now Video & Animation, eCommerce and Mobile & Apps development.

Envato Studio is part of Envato’s fast growing freelance digital services marketplaces joining ThemeForest, CodeCanyon and many more, with an international community of over 3 million digital creatives – who have earned over USD$140m in payouts already.

On why Envato decided to change the name after just 12 months, Layla Foord, General Manager said “The new name better reflects who we are, and what we do” she explains. “From logo design to complete websites, Envato Studio already has a broad range of services – and we look forward to more in the future. Referencing and leveraging the Envato brand is important. The new name clearly highlights the connection with Envato, its community, values and credibility. It also fits with our company’s vision of building a huge global creative ecosystem” Layla explains more in her blog post.

The team based in Melbourne apply lean thinking and have released 1760 features and changes since launch and is part of a thriving Australian start-up scene.
